Firefighters from five departments battled flames that damaged a trailer in the town of Portland earlier this morning. Crews from Brocton, Portland, East and West Dunkirk, Fredonia and County Emergency Services were called out to the Woodcrest Mobile Home Park on Route 5 around 6:30 am. Crews had the fire under control within minutes. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office dispatch center reports that county fire investigators were sent to the scene. There were no injuries reported.
