Two area men are facing drug related charges after Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of two suspicious people inside a vehicle that was parked at a Cassadaga business after closing late Wednesday night. Deputies say when they reached the scene, the driver, 39-year-old Jason Remington of Brocton appeared to be attempting to conceal packaged narcotics. Both Remington and a passenger, 26-year-old Nicholas Botticello of Fredonia were removed from the vehicle. A search by Sheriff's K9 Link found that Remington was in possession of over a half-ounce of meth, .6 grams of powder cocaine, various prescription pills, a small amount of marijuana, digital scales and materials. He was also found to possess an electronic stun gun. A previous criminal conviction made it a felony charge. Botticello was found to be possessing a small amount of pot. Botticello was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and was released with an appearance ticket. Remington is facing several charges including felony criminal possession of a controlled substance 4th, felony criminal possession of controlled substance 5th and felony criminal possession of a weapon 3rd.
