Congressman Tom Reed says the sequester has not brought the doom and gloom the White House had predicted before the sequester went into effect on March 1st. The Republican from Corning says the federal government should be able to manage the cuts.

But Reed says both sides of the aisle will face pressure later this month to reach an agreement the latest continuing resolution expires. Reed made his remarks during a weekly conference call he held with the media including WDOE News on Monday.
