Comment deadline for NRG repowering project ends at 5pm today

You have until 5pm today to submit comments on the Dunkirk Repower project. That's when the State PSC public comment period ends and one local official is concerned that the number of comments opposing the project may outweigh those in support of the project. Dunkirk Mayor AJ Dolce says a lot is at stake and he is hoping that project supporters make their comments known.

The Sierra Club and the New York Business Council are opposed to the project, backing a proposal by National Grid that would upgrade the transmission system, but does not back NRG's repowering proposal.
