Fredrick D. Rosenow, Sr., 75, of Stockton, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Brooks Memorial Hospital. Born Nov. 25, 1938 in Buffalo, son of the late Lorraine L. and Noreen W. Williams Rosenow. He served six years in the National Guard with the U.S. Army.
Fred was employed as a fabricator for over 18 years with Dow Craft Industries of Falconer and then part time at Valu Home Center in Fredonia until retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Stockton VFD and in his younger days enjoyed golf and bowling. Husband of 57 years to Diana Bensch Rosenow, whom he married May 18, 1957; father of Charyle (Kirk) Tyler of Cassadaga, Laura Estus of Westfield, Fredrick (DeMares) Rosenow Jr. of Stockton, Duane Rosenow of Jamestown and Gordon (Cheryl) Rosenow of Mayville; grandfather of 22 and the late Amanda Rosenow; great-grandfather of 13; brother of the late Richard L. Rosenow. Also survived by nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Arrangements by Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville.
