Regina A. "Jerry" Favata, 88, of Dunkirk died Wednesday morning, April 9, 2014 at the Chautauqua County Home. She was born on January 1, 1926 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Anthony and Lucy (Roesler) Dobrzyn.
A homemaker, Mrs. Favata was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and the Dunkirk Senior Citizens.
Beloved great-aunt of Susan Raynor, Paul Raynor, Jr., Daniel Raynor, Sean (Trudi) Raynor and Matthew Raynor, all of Dunkirk; and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Favata; and six sisters, Victoria Waterman, Frances Wilson, Mary Riley, Martha Bienko, Josephine Adamski and Angeline Hayes.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated on Monday, April 14 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 13 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home in Dunkirk. Burial will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
