Iona (Stevens) Lay of the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at the age of 74.
She was born July 23, 1939.
Beloved wife of the late Gilbert Lay. Loving mother of Gregory Lay, Susie (Jordan) Williams, Tommy (Roxy) Stevens, Nadine Pierce and Cheryl Beaver. Grandmother of 12 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one predeceased grandson, Marcus Stevens. Sister of Delores Kaznica, Jeanette Stevens, Lavern (Maxine) Stevens, Darlene (Dennis) Lay, Artie (Jim) Luke, Marilyn Stevens, and the late Alberta Stevens, Mary Jane Cooper and Jennie Longboat. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call at the family residence, 12237 Mileblock Road, Cattaraugus Indian Reservation, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. from The Longhouse, Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.
Iona was a member of the Turtle Clan.
