Clifford G. Troutman

Clifford G. Troutman, age 81, of West Perrysburg Road, passed away early Sunday morning, July 27, 2014 at the Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility surrounded by family.

Clifford was born in Lackawanna May 2, 1933, the son of Louis and Katherine (Dziedic) Troutman.

After graduating from Gowanda High School, Class of '52, Cliff went into the service. He honorably served our country with the United States Army during the Korean War era.

On Sept. 9, 1960 in the Trinity United Church of Christ Church in Gowanda, he married the former June M. Coudrey. June passed away August 5, 2010.

Clifford retired as a Heavy Equipment Operator, working for Local 17 of Buffalo. Cliff also raised beef cattle on the family farm in Perrysburg.

Survivors include two sons, Wayne (Becky) Troutman of Perrysburg and Scott (Katherine) Troutman of Falconer, and a daughter, Sandra (Marc) VanEtten of Perrysburg. Grandfather to Heather, Meghan, Amy, Alayna, Rachael, Drew, Brent, Madison and Gabrielle. Great-grandfather to Isabel and Reid. Cliff is also survived by a brother, Louis (Gloria) Troutman of Kenmore, sisters-in-law Rose (late Robert) Troutman of South Dayton, Betty (late Francis) Troutman of Forestville, and Shirley (late Joseph) Troutman of Gowanda. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents, wife and three brothers, Clifford was preceded in death by a baby sister, Katherine Troutman.

The family will receive friends at the Troutman family home, 11084 W. Perrysburg Road, Perrysburg, NY 14129, from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. from the Schindler Funeral Home, 44 Center St., Gowanda, (716) 532-4200. Interment in the Markhams Cemetery, Town of Dayton, NY.
