On Sunday, July 27, 2014 Jacquelina E. Diaz (Jacq or Jacquie as others knew her), passed away at the family home with her loved ones holding her hands.
Born in Warren, Michigan on April 28, 1970, she was 44 years old.
Loving daughter of Hugo Diaz (late Sharon) of Cherry Creek, NY and Carol Diaz of Newton, KS.
Survived by Lidia Diaz-Bentham (Tim), Paul Diaz, Glenn Diaz (Trish), Benjamin Santana (Tracie), Deborah Santana, Steve Santana (Angela) and Deanna Santana and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Jacq LOVED animals any animal. Her Doberman Pinschers were her pride and joy Bruno and Diesel along with her 32-pound black cat, Norman and his sister Celeste.
She loved her 'Iced Cappuccino', cooking and sharing her specialty dishes with friends and family. Spending time with her nephews and nieces, and teaching them things their parents were not impressed with! Jacq also enjoyed gardening, both vegetables and flowers. She was known for her big, beautiful dahlias. And finally we cannot forget how she loved her Aunt Linda's chocolate pie!
Jacquelina was very spiritual, hopeful and a fighter through it all. She was grateful to be home so she could pass away peacefully.
All are invited to join us in the Gathering of Love on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk.
