Dennis N. DeLoe, 65, of Springfield, Fla., passed away September 8, 2014 at home after a long illness.
He was born at home July 4, 1949 in Turkey City, Pa., the son of the late Ivan and Dorothea DeLoe.
Mr. DeLoe served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a Vietnam veteran.
A former Westfield resident, Mr. DeLoe had been employed at Grants. He was a well-known contractor in Florida and received high honors for the building of a hospital.
An avid hunter, traveler and cook, he was the owner of a restaurant in Florida.
Mr. DeLoe will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include three children, Melissa, Denise and Ivan; three brothers, Ivan "Hank," Willard and David DeLoe; sisters Diane and Gloria; one grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A memorial service will take place at a later date in Florida.
