Leonard J. Wlodarek of Dunkirk, NY died suddenly on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. He was born in Dunkirk, NY on Sept. 14, 1944 to the late Constantine and Mary Lillian Wlodarek and was educated in the Dunkirk School System.
Leonard had been employed by Gullo Landscaping on Water Street in Fretime, he liked to collect baseball cards and had a coin collection. He had a special place in his heart for animals. Any stray would be welcomed into his home and care for. He was a member of St. Hedwig's Church and the Moniuszko Club of Dunkirk, NY.
Leonard is survived by his sister, Eleanor (William) Citerci of West Seneca, NY and his daughter, Desiree Wlodarek of Buffalo, NY. He is further survived by three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his loving Labrador Retriever, "Pepper."Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Wlodarek.
Funeral services will be held at the Fantauzzi Funeral Home, 82 East Main St., Fredonia, NY on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the service and may call at the Funeral Home from 5:00- 7:00 p.m., prior to the service.
