Keith Brown, 83 years old, of Old Mill Road in Brocton, NY passed away unexpectedly Thursday Nov. 20, 2014 at St Vincent Hospital in Erie Pa., with his loving family at his side. He was born June 19, 1931 in Iowa City, Iowa to the late Raymond and Violet Ransom Brown.
Keith had been a resident of Brocton and had also made his home on Old Mill Road for the past 70 years of his life. He worked at AL Tech in Dunkirk, NY as a steelworker until his retirement.He was a veteran, having served his country in The United States Navy.
Keith was a member of The American Legion John W Dill Post 434 of Brocton, New York and the Falcons Club of Dunkirk, NY. Besides his family, he loved rabbit hunting and was also an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed woodworking, He loved to draw and loved playing the harmonica and the organ.
He is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Webber of Brocton, NY; one son, Keith Brown of Springville, NY; and one stepson, Mark Sroka of Brockport New York. Five grandchildren also survive: Kari Brown, Jennifer Webber, Holly Webber, Mathew Brown and Andrew Sroka. Keith is also survived by three brothers; his twin brother and best friend Kenneth Brown of Richmond, Virginia, Earnest Brown of Brocton, NY and Clifford Brown of Westfield, NY. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Madelyn (Sanok) Brown, who passed away in 1987; one stepson, Gene Sroka; and two brothers, Robert and Donald.
Funeral services will be held at the Morse Funeral Home in Brocton, NY. Interment will be at the Portland Evergreen Cemetery. The date, time and information will be announced at a later date. Any further information, please contact the Morse Funeral Home in Brocton, N.Y.
