Gilbert F. "Gib" Deering, Jr., 62, of Sinclairville, passed on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014 at WCA Hospital.
Born Jan. 25, 1952 in Jamestown, son of Harriet Nolan Deering and the late Gilbert F. Deering. He was an alumnus of Cassadaga Valley Central School.
Gib was employed for 25 years at Falconer Glass. He enjoyed playing with his granddaughter.
Husband of 39 years to Dorothy Zrimsek Deering, whom he married Sept. 13, 1975; father of Michael (Stacy Lawton) Deering of Cherry Creek, Chad Deering of Sinclairville, Heather (James Houser) Deering of Jamestown; grandfather of Ivy Ann, Elizabeth and Nathan Houser all of Jamestown, Brandon Lawton and Brianna Schneider of herry Creek; brother of Kevin (Dee-Dee) Deering of Fredonia, Randy, Edward, and Thomas Deering, all of Sinclairville. Also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 17 in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with visitation from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial in Charlotte Center Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
