Carl A. Faso, 65, of Fredonia, died Sunday, December 14, 2014 following a lengthy illness at home. Born August 28, 1949 in Dunkirk, son of the late Salvatore J. and Josephine M. (Marino) Faso.
A veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1970-74. A graduate of Bryant & Stratton Business College in Buffalo, Jamestown Community College in Jamestown and Fredonia State University with degrees in Political Science and Sociology. A retired supervisor with the Chautauqua County Probation Department in Mayville and Jamestown.
Carl was a member of St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Fredonia. An avid sportsman that enjoyed hunting. Carl was past vice president of the Fredonia Little League Association.
Surviving are his two sons Gregory M. Faso in Wellsville, NY, and Thomas J. (Anne) Faso of West Seneca, as well as former wife Pamela Richardson of Fredonia, brothers and sisters Ann Carol (Walter) Lemiszko of Florida, Salvatore J. (PJ) Faso of Florida and Anthony (Laurie) Faso of Fredonia. Several grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews, also survive.
A memorial service will be held at later date to be announced. Memorials in Carl's honor may be made to the Fredonia Fire Department Rescue Squad, 80 W. Main St., Fredonia, NY 14063.
