Janine L. Huff of the Tonawanda Indian Reservation, Basom died January 21, 2015.
Wife of the late Henry Huff. Mother of Douglas Huff, Reedy Huff and Ira Huff. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren. Daughter of Stuart Jamieson and the late Winona (Blueye) Jamieson, Sheldon and Gary Sundown. Longhouse sister of Birdie Hill, Lori Reuben, Noreen (Tahamont) Cook. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Janine was a member of the Hawk Clan and a Clan Mother as well as a member of the Six Nations Iroquois Agriculture Society. She graduated from Cornell University and received her master's at the University of Buffalo. She taught Elementary Native studies at Akron Central School.
