Thomas J. Ludwiszewski, Sr., age 77, of the Lincoln Arms, 430 Main Street, Dunkirk, N.Y., died Sunday January 18, 2015 at Brooks Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Dunkirk on June 26, 1937, the son of the late Frank J. Ludwiszewski and Mary (Pawlicki) Ludwiszewski. A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, Mr. Ludwiszewski was a retired employee of Cliffstar.
He was a member of Blessed Mary Angela Parish-St. Hedwig's Church, the Kosciuszko Club, Murray Hose Company No. 4 and the Chautauqua County Fire Police. He also marched with the Murraymen Hose Company No. 4 Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Ludwiszewski was past chairman of MDA for Murray Hose Co. No. 4.
Surviving are his wife Beverly (Bremer) Ludwiszewski, of Dunkirk; a son, Thomas (Amanda) Ludwiszewski, Jr., of Russell, Pa. and a daughter, Leslie Ludwiszewski, of Dunkirk. Nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his brothers: Frank J. Jr., William, Robert and Ronald Ludwiszewski and his sister, Rosemary Zwolak.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Hedwig's Church (Townsend & Doughty Sts.,) Friday, January 30, 2015 at 10 a.m. There will be no prior visitation. Arrangements by David J. Dengler, Larson-Timko Funeral Home, 679-9000.
