Josephine M. (Grisanti) Bennice of Dunkirk, died Friday, April 17, 2015.
Josie, wife for 67 years of Frank J. Bennice, was born in Dunkirk on March 7, 1930 to the late Jack and Anna (DiGraci) Grisanti.
In addition to her husband, Josie is also survived by her son, Don Bennice (Norma Bienko) and grandchildren Dominic and Kimberlee, and son-in-law Joseph DiCara and grandchildren, Charles and Joseph DiCara and Stacy DiCara Bonnett. Five great grandchildren also survive.
Josie is also survived by her sisters Rosemary Saletta and Jean Desko, and various nieces and nephews.
Josie was predeceased by her daughter Barbara Bennice DiCara (Oct. 6, 2013), her sister Amelia Kundla and brothers, Sam and Carl Grisanti.
Josie was educated in Dunkirk city schools and graduated from Roberts Beauty School in Buffalo. Josie operated her own beauty salon on Central Avenue in Dunkirk for over 30 years.
Josie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother - her family was the center of her life.
There will be no visitation. Private services will be at the convenience of the immediate family. Arrangements are by the Newman Funeral Home.
