Robert F. Bentley, age 79, of Ripley, peacefully passed away on Thursday May 21, 2015.
He was born on January 19, 1936 in Ripley, NY to the late Ford Willis and Susan Cook Bentley.
Robert graduated from Ripley Central High School.
He was formerly employed at Rick Meabon Transportation Corporation in North East for several years.
Robert collected vintage toys, especially John Deere Tractors and enjoyed racing snowmobiles.
He also loved spending time with his best friend, Shady.
Robert is survived by his lifetime companion, Helen Bentley of Ripley; daughter, Robin Rucker (Paul) of Lancaster, SC; sons, Robert Bentley (Sheila) of Ripley and William Bentley (Nancy) of Ripley; a sister, Rita Cook of North East; a brother, James Bentley (Janet) of Sarasota, FL; grandchildren, Keith, Greg, Brett, Ryan, Amy, Kyle, Craig, Kristi, Shane, Kailyn, Blake, Molly, Justin, Ashley, and thier spouses; 14 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Memorial Day on Monday, May 25 at Meeder's Restaurant, 19 Main Street, Ripley, NY from 3 p.m. till 5 p.m. Memorials may be made to the East Ripley Cemetery Society, In Care Of Truby Babcock, 19 East Main Street, Ripley, NY 14775 or the American Cancer Society of Erie, 2115 West 38th Street, Erie, PA 16508.
