Carol Jean Smith, age 64, of Fredonia, NY died Thursday July 2, 2015 at her Fredonia home.
Carol was born in Gowanda, NY on October 7, 1950 to the late Armand M. and Beatrice Mae Albright Smith.
She grew up in the Fredonia-Sheridan area, attended Fredonia schools, and graduated from Fredonia High School. Carol worked as a Seed Inspector for the Fredonia Seed Company in Fredonia an Annapolis, MD. She also worked in the seed business in Salem, OR.
Carol enjoyed gardening, flowers, and computer games. She loved to travel, had a "flair for math," and was an avid reader. Carol was an active member of the Fredonia First United Methodist Church. She was a member of the hospitality committee and the congregational care committee at the Church. Carol was a member of the Stockton Star Rebekah Lodge 394.
Besides her parents, Carol is preceded in death by her sister Nancy Feden and her aunt Jean Baker. She is survived by: her brother-in-law John S. Feden of Green Valley, AZ; her nephew, Douglas (Jennifer) Feden of Amarillo, TX; her niece, Marcia (Mike) Gilker, of Tucson, AZ.; great-nieces and great-nephews; her aunt Mae Dickson, of Orchard Park, NY. Carol is also survived by her extended church family at the Fredonia First United Methodist Church.
There are no prior calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held at the Fredonia First United Methodist Church, 25 Church Street, Fredonia, NY on Saturday, July 11 at 11 a.m. A private interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
