Stephen Kachelmeyer passed away on November 6, 2011 with his family by his side. Steve lived a simple life, giving his parents the chance to raise him and learn; his siblings the chance to laugh and converse; his wife the chance to love; his children the gift of life.
He is predeceased by his father, Michael Kachelmeyer; his uncle, Edward Kachelmeyer; his paternal grandparents, Edward and Ruth Kachelmeyer; and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Pearl Phillips.
He leaves behind his wife Kim (Swartzfeger) Kachelmeyer; seven children: Devon, Stephen, Alexis, Zane, Madison, Seth, Summer; his mother, Kathleen (Phillips) Kachelmeyer; his brothers, Mark, Tim, and Joel Kachelmeyer; and sisters, Sarah (Davis) and Rebecca Kachelmeyer.
Calling hours will be held at Laing Funeral Home Inc. 2724 W. Church St., Eden, NY, 1-3 pm, Saturday, November 12, 2011, with a memorial service to follow at 3:15 pm. A motorcycle run will then escort the family as we take Steve on his last ride, from Eden to South Dayton, NY. Any interested riders, please join us.
