L. Jean Farnham, 79, of High Acres, Bemus Point, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at WCA Hospital. She was born October 7, 1935 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Richard and Alberta Forsyth Stoll.
Jean worked at Heritage Green Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility for 12 years, retiring in 2014. She enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader and loved her animals.
Surviving are her husband, Darrel E. Farnham, whom she married February 21, 1987; a daughter, Jennifer J. Maly; four grandchildren, Meaghan Maly, Jenna Farnham, James (Lindsay) Bartlett and Richard Bartlett; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Bartlett; a sister, Roseanne Gernett; several stepchildren, including Robert and Richard Farnham; and great-grandchildren, William, Elayna and Joshua Bartlett, as well as her many friends, co-workers and neighbors that she shared her wisdom and wit with over the years.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Richard and Scott Bartlett; and a stepdaughter, Darlene Payne.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 27 in the Lind Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerald A. Haglund, Heritage Group chaplain, will officiate.
