Marsha D. Carter, 57, of Newell Court, Morrisonville, NY passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at her home, under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country. She was born in Dunkirk, NY on June 13, 1958, the daughter of Charles and Vilo (Louk) Stein.
Marsha enjoyed all of her friends on Facebook, playing her games on her laptop, cross stitching, camping, spending as much time as she could with her "Girls," Misty and Molly, her four-legged babies, and watching the ID Network.
One of her most enjoyable parts of life was spending time with her precious grandchildren. Marsha also enjoyed her career working in the health care field for many years and cherished all the friends she made during that time of her life.
Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband, William Carter; three sons, Brandon, Nicholas and his wife, Amber, and Anthony and his daughter, Amy Threlkeld; and two stepdaughters, Erin Deyo and her companion, Mike Favreau, and Maeghan and her husband, Travis McLean. She is also survived by three sisters, Susan Kaiser and her husband, Bill, Sheila Dunlap, Rebecca French and her husband, Warren; twin brother, Marshall "Skip" and wife, Yvonne Stein; father-in-law, Leon Carter, Sr. and his wife, Rita; brothers-in-law, Leon "Eddie" Carter, Jr. and his wife, Kay, Thomas Carter and his wife, Sue, David Carter and his companion, Kathy Cinney; four sisters-in-law, Pamela Depo and her husband, Michael, Donna Siskavich and her husband, Francis, Diane Carter, Terri Favro and her husband, Lanny; a special brother-in-law, Sylvester LaClair; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Marsha was predeceased by her mom and dad, Charles and Vilo Stein; brothers, Douglas, Charles "Ed," and Robert Stein.
Relatives and friends are invited to a small prayer service to be held Saturday, October 3 at 3 p.m. at the Portland Cemetery on Webster Road. Following, there will be a gathering and celebration of Marsha's life at the World War II Vets Club, located on Lake Shore Drive in Dunkirk from 4 to 8 p.m. Entombment will be at a later date in the Whispering Maples Mausoleum, Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, NY.
