Richard Joseph Kraft, 68 years old, of Portland, NY passed away at Hamot Hospital in Erie, PA on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Dunkirk, NY on August 24, 1948 and was the son of the late Joseph Kraft and Fredora Wilson Kraft of Laurel, DE.
Richard lived in this area his entire life and was employed by Dunkirk Ice Cream for many years.
Besides his family, Richard enjoyed fishing and raising standard breed horses.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Susan Schrader Kraft of Portland; one daughter, Stacey Kraft of Cassadaga; one sister, Mrs. Cheryl Thornton of Laurel, DE; one niece, Roseanne Thornton; and one nephew, Jonathan Thornton.
