Vivian I. Seeley, 95, a resident of the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center in Dunkirk, formerly of Forestville, died Friday, September 23, 2016 at her residence, following a short illness. She was born in Gowanda on March 25, 1921, the daughter of the late Robert and Clara (Benton) Bell.
Mrs. Seeley was an avid bowler and pinochle player.
Survivors include three sons, Randy (Lucia) Seeley of Silver Creek, Willard (Doris) Seeley of Irving and Jeffrey (Denise) Seeley of Forestville; and a daughter, Bonnie Seeley Cornelius of Ballston Spa, NY. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William D. Seeley, whom she married on January 12, 1939 and who died June 14, 2010; by two sisters, Thelma Catrone and Virginia Hancock; and by a grandson, Daniel Seeley.
Friends are welcome to call at the Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Monday, September 26 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM, from where funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 27 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Smith Mills Cemetery, Town of Hanover.
