Beverly A. McCoy, 78, of Cassadaga passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016, at her home. Born October 7, 1938 in Laona, a daughter of the late Ralph and Morea Apthorp Vogt.
She was a 1958 graduate of Dunkirk High School.
Beverly was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving from 1958-1960.
She was a full-time homemaker, who enjoyed gardening, landscaping, quilting, knitting and refinishing furniture, especially antiques.
Wife of 56 years to George McCoy, who she married October 8, 1960; mother of Theresa (Mike) Schweiger of Jamestown, Tammy (Chris Turner) Imm of Clemson, SC, Stephen (Michelle DeFreitas) McCoy of Mooresville, NC and Ann (Chad) Hamilton of Rockwell, NC; grandmother of seven; great-grandmother of one; sister of Paula Skaggs of Henderson, NV, Kenneth (Rhonda) Vogt of Rome and the late Jack Vogt. Also survived by nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
A private service will be held at the family's convenience. Burial in Webster Road Cemetery, Town of Pomfret.
