Charles Beebe Frudd

Charles Beebe Frudd, 82 years old, of Portland passed away late Monday afternoon, March 20, 2017 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Erie, PA after an extended illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Montrose, PA on September 14, 1934 to the late Charlie and Margaret Griswold Frudd, and he has been a resident of this area since 1949.

Charles attended Brocton Central School and was a self-employed Contractor and Stone Mason. He was also a Wing Forman on the first Boeing 707 built in Renton, WA. He was a member of the East Lake Road Alliance Church in Erie, PA and was a longtime member of the Brocton Free Methodist Church.

Besides loving and caring for his family and home, Chuck enjoyed gardening and horticulture, storytelling and going to the Green Arch Diner. Charles loved people, but he loved the Lord more.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Marjorie Pitroff Frudd; two daughters, Deborah Johnson of Yorkshire and Dalynn Frudd of Silver Creek; one son, Douglas (Jayne) Frudd of Buxton, ME; seven grandchildren, Joshua (Rachel) Johnson, Cullen (Heather) Johnson, Kirsten (Frank) Gesing, Jesse (Sarah) Johnson, Samantha Frudd, Sarah Frudd and Sadie Frudd; nine great-grandchildren, Norah Johnson-Royce, Delia Johnson, Chiara Johnson, Leon Johnson, August Gesing, Mila Gesing, Minka Gesing, Evelynn Johnson and Micah Johnson; one sister, Mrs Emma Dowd of Stanwood, WA; three brothers, Harry Frudd of Stanwood, WA, Robert (Bonnie) Frudd of Rochester and Duane (Sharon) Frudd of Stockton; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Odial Frudd, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Daniel Charles Frudd, who passed away August 3, 1963; and one brother, Eugene Frudd.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 25 from the East Lake Road Alliance Church, 4500 East Lake Rd., Erie, PA. David Voelker will officiate. Friends and family are invited to visiting hours from 3:00-7:00 PM on Friday, March 24 at the Morse Funeral Home, 51 Highland Ave. in Brocton and from 10:00-11:00 AM from the East Lake Road Alliance Church on Saturday, one hour prior to the start of the funeral service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
