Mary L. Rosing Stevens passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 in Cape Coral, FL at the age of 70 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 1, 1947 to Margaret Altwies Rosing and Bodamer Rosing.
Mary married James E. Stevens and moved to Gerry, where she had two daughters, Shannon (David) Stevens Enlow and Erin Stevens.
Jim and Mary moved to Cape Coral, FL and have a summer home at the Vikings on Chautauqua Lake.
Mary was preceded in death by both of her parents; her brother, Father Frederick Rosing S.D.S.; her mother- and father-in-law, James M. Stevens and Doris Stevens; and her brothers-in-law, Marshall Stevens and Louis Gugino. Along with her loving husband and children, Mary is survived by her siblings, Michael (Barbara) Rosing, Charles (Linda) Rosing, Patricia (Fredrick) Rosing Kalfus, Susan Rosing Gugino, Jan (Marshall) Stevens Ball, Lisa (Wally) Stevens Thompson, Ellen (Dale) Stevens Barmore and Darlee (James) Stevens Darling. Mary also had many loving nieces and nephews.
Mary had a long career with the Chautauqua County Department of Public Works as a principal accountant.
Mary and Jim loved life from their beautiful country home to boating on Chautauqua Lake to their wonderful retirement in Cape Coral, FL.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to be determined in Jamestown.
