Frank E. Austin

Frank E. Austin, 85, of Gerry passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Lutheran Social Services in Jamestown.

Born November 20, 1932 in Wilcox, PA, Frank was a 12-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean conflict.

He was employed as a heavy press operator for Automatic Voting Machine, a case maker at Dahlstrom's, and a machine operator at Falconer Metal Specialties, retiring in 1994.
Frank enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, camping, and spending time with family, especially his grandsons.

Husband of 58 years to Ruth M. Mowrey Austin, whom he married June 7, 1960; father of David (Lynn) Austin of Sinclairville, Brenda (Jay Stearns) Austin of Cherry Creek, James (Kim) and Larry Austin, both of Gerry; grandfather of Dakota and Zachary Austin; brother of Clara "Chub" (Gene) Milks of Randolph and the late William Austin. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Frank's family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Lutheran Social Services and Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care for the wonderful care they provided.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 27 in the Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Sinclairville.
