Top left: At age 37, Venus Williams (right) had a chance to become the oldest woman ever to win a Grand Slam title in the Open Era. However, an eighth major crown was not to be. Bottom left: Signed in the offseason to bolster their receiving corps, the Minnesota Vikings will be without the services of Michael Floyd to begin the 2017 season. On Friday, the NFL announced that Floyd is suspended for four games for a violation of the league's substance abuse policy.
