Top left: Roger Federer celebrates after winning the 2017 Wimbledon men's championship today.  Federer, regarded by many as the greatest men's tennis player of all time, won a record 8th Wimbledon men's title by defeating Marin Cilic 6-4, 6-1, 6-3 on Centre Court at the All-England Club.  The win is also Federer's 19th career Grand Slam title, extending his own men's record.  Image by ESPN

Top right: Didi Gregorius lines a tiebreaking RBI single into center field for the New York Yankees against the Boston Red Sox on Saturday.  In a game that took nearly six hours, Gregorius' hit gave the Yankees the lead in the top of the 16th inning, and they would go on to win 4-1.  There is little rest for these two bitter rivals, as they will be playing a day-night doubleheader today at Fenway.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom: Two outstanding softball players from the 2017 high school softball season who were named to the All-Western New York Team.  Dunkirk's Emilee Hanlon (left) excelled on defense as a shortstop and showed great speed on the basepaths.  Fredonia's Hannah Cybart (right) had an ERA of 0.61 in leading her team to an undefeated regular season.  Photos by the Observer and Ron Szot
