Top: Saturday on the college gridiron churned out two major surprises in the Big 10. The biggest was unranked Iowa (left) throttling 6th-ranked Ohio State 55-24. Also turning heads was 24th-ranked Michigan State (right), handing 7th-ranked Penn State its second straight loss, 27-24 on a stormy day in East Lansing. Those results will make the conference will open heading down the final stretch of the season. Photos by USA Today
Bottom left: Evander Kane and the Buffalo Sabres had a long night Saturday in Dallas. The game was decided in the 1st period, as the Stars scored four goals en route to a 5-1 win. Sabres goalie Robin Lehner was pulled after giving up the fourth goal. Photo from NHL.com
