Sunday Sports Update

Top left: Shaq Lawson and the Buffalo Bills' defense will look to turn up the heat against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.  Brady has a 26-3 lifetime record against the Bills, and a win today would set an NFL record for most wins by a quarterback against one team.  The Bills will need to play with urgency, as they're in the thick of the AFC playoff race.  Tune into WDOE (94.9 FM/1410) for all the action between the Bills and Patriots at New Era Field, with kickoff at 1:00 PM!  Photo by USA Today

Top right: Will J.T. Barrett and Ohio State make the top four in the final College Football Playoff standings?  The Buckeyes defeated Wisconsin 27-21 in Saturday's Big 10 Championship Game, but there will be plenty of debate among members of the selection committee whether to include Ohio State or Alabama in the playoff.  The final CFP standings will be released this afternoon.  Photo by USA Today

Bottom: Area high school basketball tournaments continued on Saturday with some impressive performances.  Westfield's Shawn Horr (left) scored 23 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as the Wolverines defeated Sherman 64-49 in the championship game of the Westfield Tip-Off Tournament.  Horr was named the tournament's MVP.  Meanwhile, Jessica Beehler (right) scored a career-high 23 points in leading the Dunkirk girls to victory over Ellicottville, 83-59 in the consolation game of Portville High School's tournament.  Photos by the Observer and Portville High School
