A Jamestown man who had outstanding warrants out of Jamestown City Court was taken into custody after he was seen at a convenience store on the city's south side late Tuesday night. Jamestown Police were patrolling the area of the 7-Eleven on Hazeltine Avenue shortly after 11:45 PM, when they saw 42-year-old Maurice Hough. Officers say Hough had a quantity of methamphetamine on his person and -- while they were present -- was on the phone with a female who had a full stay-away order of protection against him. In addition to his warrants, Hough was charged with 2nd-degree criminal contempt and 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
