A Jamestown woman who was known to have outstanding warrants was taken into custody during a street check in the city's downtown area early Saturday. Jamestown Police saw 44-year-old Stephanie Derby walking in the area of East 5th Street and Pine Street at about 1:45 AM. Officers took Derby into custody, and a search located a quantity of methamphetamine on her person. Derby was held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment on her warrant, plus one count of 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
