Jamestown Police arrested a city woman early Sunday morning on the city's east side for allegedly resisting arrest and being found in possession of drugs. Officers say a patrol in the area of Stowe Street and Falconer Street spotted 32-year-old Jessie Anderson walking on the roadway when she allegedly ran off into the backyard of a nearby home. Officers located Anderson, but she tried to run off. However, she was caught and taken into custody after a brief struggle. She was charged with resisting arrest, 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and on warrants. She was jailed pending arraignment.
