A street check on Jamestown's north side last Thursday led to the arrest of a fugitive from justice. Jamestown Police were at a residence at 868 Prendergast Avenue shortly after 3:45 PM and identified a male there as Edgar Melendez-Rosario, who was known to be wanted out of the state of Pennsylvania. Officers took Melendez-Rosario into custody without incident and took him to the Jamestown City Jail.
