Jamestown Police charged a city man after he was found slumped over behind the wheel of a running vehicle on the city's south side. On Sunday, March 2nd, officers were called to Pershing Avenue shortly after 11:15 PM and determined that 40-year-old Darryl Cavness was allegedly in an impaired condition. He was also allegedly found to possess a quantity of fentanyl. Cavness was taken to the Jamestown City Jail on charges of DWI, DWAI-combination of drugs and alcohol, 1st-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, 7th-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and operating out of ignition interlock restriction.
