A traffic stop on Jamestown's north side last Thursday led to the arrest of a city man who allegedly violated an order of protection multiple times. Jamestown Police were patrolling the area of North Main Street and West 12th Street at about 12:30 AM, when they stopped a vehicle for violations. A subsequent investigation found that the driver, 24-year-old Sabir Mutasim Habeeb Collins, had suspended driving privileges in New York, and also had active warrants out of Jamestown City Court for several order of protection violations. Officers add that during the traffic stop, Collins called the victim, who is the protected party in an order of protection. Collins was charged with three counts of 1st-degree criminal contempt, one count of 2nd-degree criminal contempt, and 3rd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.
