An 18-year-old Jamestown man faces a petit larceny charge following a call for a shoplifting in progress last Saturday. Jamestown Police responded to Tops Markets on Washington Street shortly after 6:15 PM. Officers stay store employees had detained Jacob Perry, who allegedly stole alcohol from the store. He was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident. Perry was later released with an appearance ticket.
