This month Forest Lodge #166 F & A M will be moving their monthly Sunday Family Breakfast up a week because of Easter, and holding it on April 10th, from 8:30 am -12:30pm. During the breakfast, the Lodge Room upstairs will be open for visitors who would like to see the Lodge and what the Masons really do. Knowledgeable members will be on hand to answer questions, and some displays of historical significance to the region will be available for viewing. There will also be members and advisors from Meridian Sun Demolay to answer questions about the newly formed Chadwick Bay Chapter that will be meeting at the facility starting in May. Demolay is an international youth organization for young men between the ages of 12 and 21, which teaches them to live their lives by seven core values, provides them with quality guidance and mentorship, and allows them to control and shape their own Demolay experience. Demolay allows young men to meet and become friends with other like-minded individuals in their same age group, across the state, country, and the world, of which they might otherwise have not had that opportunity. Demolay and Masons as well, offer scholarships and other assistance for members and their families, to assist in furthering education. This is in addition to sponsoring personal and organizational leadership training, and helping to teach confidence and public speaking, to open up future possibilities. For more information on DeMolay or the Masons, the benefits that both organizations provide individually and to the community, and how to join either organization, please contact Richard Newton at (716)673-5378, or stop by the breakfast and speak to a member.
