Green Comet Night at the Observatory iCal

Wednesday, February 1 2023 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Celebrate and learn about the Green Comet as it reaches its closest approach to Earth. Not seen for 50,000 years, we'll have live viewing from multiple telescopes of comet C/2022 E (ZTF) - weather permitting :) We'll also discuss comets in general and view images taken at the observatory. Tours of the facility will be offered. This will be a fun event for the entire family! Visit us on Wednesday, February 1 at 7:30pm. The Martz-Kohl Observatory is located in Frewsburg, NY with easy access from Jamestown, NY and Warren, PA. Dress appropriately for the weather. Our classrooms are heated but the domes are not. More info and directions to the observatory are on our website: https://martzobservatory.org/
