Services at The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua iCal

Sunday, March 26 2023 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua, located at 222 Temple Street in Fredonia, holds a Sunday Worship Service at 11am, both at their physical location and on Zoom. For those wishing to join us virtually, please visit https://tinyurl.com/caluucnc. Click on “Worship Service” on the date you are attending and scroll down for the Zoom link. For those attending the in-person service, please follow the driveway and park in the lower lot behind the building. The theme for March is Vulnerability. On Sunday March 26, guest speaker Bridget Russell will speak on “Finding Vulnerability Through Life Challenges”. Facing and experiencing fear through various life challenges can create and develop our courage. This development of courage in the face of devastation can uncover our true expression of vulnerability, which ultimately leads to self-acceptance and the ability to embrace ourselves for our individual life choices. Bridget Russell PhD is an associate professor at SUNY Fredonia in the Department of Communication Disorders & Sciences. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in speech-language pathology for over 25 years. Her research involves the assessment and treatment of voice and respiratory disorders of speech. She has presented her work locally, nationally, and internationally and has produced published work in professional journals and in higher education textbooks. The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua strives to be a vibrant, welcoming, multigenerational, diverse community enlivened by the power of radical love. We are a congregation that nurtures acceptance, spirituality, and growth while guided by Unitarian Universalist Principles. We provide a place where people engage together through fellowship, celebration, social outreach, environmental action, and transformative justice.
