Anderson-Lee Library to Host Gardening Workshop
Saturday, January 27 2024 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main Street in Silver Creek will host a Winter Sowing Workshop on Saturday, January 27 at 10 am. Members of the Silver Creek Hanover Gardening Club will teach us about the process of starting your garden in winter! Winter Sowing involves planting seeds outdoors in a container and leaving the container outdoors until the seedlings begin to appear. The container protects the seeds from the harsh weather, yet allows the seeds to germinate, as the container acts as a mini greenhouse. Learn about starting your seeds in the winter with this process! This will be a free, hands-on project. Come prepared for mess and handling dirt. All supplies will be provided, so please pre-register to ensure enough materials for all participants. You may register by calling the library at 716-934-3468, stopping by the library, or visiting www.andersonleelibrary.org to register online.
