The children in the village of Silver Creek will soon be on a mission of great importance to the upcoming Silver Creek Festival of Grapes. The “Great Grape Hunt” will open for participation on August 9th. Some of the businesses in Silver Creek will each have a clue to contribute to a “secret message” that the Festival needs the children to figure out and bring in to Festival headquarters. This scavenger hunt type game will be free of charge for all area children 13 and under (parents are allowed to accompany the kids of course). When a child has found all the clues and figured out the message, they should bring in their clue cards, attached together with their name and phone number for a drawing on opening night of the Festival, Friday September 13th. Prizes have been generously provided by the participating businesses. Festival headquarters will have open hours prior to the Festival which will be posted and entries can be brought in any day when headquarters is open. This is not a race, there will be plenty of time to collect clue cards. The festival is hoping this will be a fun activity for the kids and local businesses and stir up excitement and anticipation for the Silver Creek Festival of Grapes, coming September 13-15!
