Cemetery marker ceremony for War of 1812 Veteran General Putnam Farrington of Cherry Creek

The Celea Sampson Cole Chapter Daughters of 1812, will conduct a cemetery marker ceremony for the 1812 Patriot of member Elaine Rissell. General Putnam Farrington is buried in the south section of the Cherry Creek Central Cemetery(formerly known as the Highland Cemetery). The ceremony with include members of the Cherry Creek VFW, historian Tim Nobles and Sharon Howe Sweeting, past Historian, and currently a Commissioner on the Cemetery Association. The ceremony will be held on the North side of Route 62 in the (new) sections. Attendees will be escorted across the road to the south side, to place the marker. The public is invited to attend this honorable event.
