A several months-long investigation into narcotics activity in Jamestown led to the arrest of three city residents on Wednesday. Narcotics investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Jamestown Police Department and Dunkirk Police Department executed a search warrant at the lower apartment of 614 East 6th Street at about 1:45 PM, with entry gained by the Jamestown Police SWAT Team. 44-year-old Ronnie Walker, 36-year-old Demarco Lathan and 37-year-old Lucas Smyczek were in the apartment at the time. Investigators seized 20.3 grams of crack cocaine, 4.7 grams of fentanyl, scales for the distribution of narcotics, and $545 in cash. Walker was charged with three counts of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, as well as 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence. Lathan and Smyczek were both charged with one count of 3rd-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and 2nd-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. All three suspects are being held in the Chautauqua County Jail.
