A Cherry Creek man is facing a handful of charges following a crash that occurred Sunday evening in the Town of Ellington. Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies responded to Route 83 just before 8:00 PM. Further investigation determined that the driver was 21-year-old Richard Rasmussen, who has been charged with DWI, 3rd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, improper passing, and following too closely. Rasmussen will answer the charges in Ellington Town Court at a later date.
