A Falconer woman is facing drunk driving charges after an investigation into a crash on Jamestown's east side early Sunday. Jamestown Police responded to the area of Allen Street and Scioto Street shortly after 2:30 AM and saw a street sign in the roadway, a damaged telephone pole, and tire skid marks leading to a damaged vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway. Officers say 43-year-old Carolyn Shields, who was in the driver's seat of the vehicle, was found to have operated the vehicle while intoxicated. She was taken to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was allegedly found to have had a BAC approximately three times the legal limit. Shields was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and numerous vehicle and traffic violations. She was later released with an appearance ticket for Jamestown City Court.
