
A Jamestown man is accused of intentionally setting a fire inside his apartment late Tuesday morning, then leaving the building. Jamestown Police and Jamestown Fire were called to the Park View Apartments at 401 West 4th Street just before 11:30 AM for a report of an active fire. During the investigation, officers determined that 35-year-old David Trout allegedly started the fire before leaving. The building currently has 25 occupied apartments. Trout was located a short distance away and taken into custody. He was charged with 2nd-degree arson, 1st-degree reckless endangerment and 4th-degree criminal mischief, and is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
