After Wednesday's cooldown, temperatures will climb back near the 70-degree mark across Chautauqua County on Thursday, but there will also be a potential for severe weather. The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center has Chautauqua County, most of Cattaraugus County and parts of southern Erie County until a slight severe weather risk during the late afternoon and evening hours. Forecasters say a line of thunderstorms will move across the region during that time. The primary threats from any storms that develop will be locally damaging wind gusts and large hail.
